Update: Urgent Financial Help Needed

Here are several updates in regards to this request for financial help.

First: This is not a scam. I have received emails and phone calls asking if we actually sent this Help Needed. In this day and age, I completely understand. However, this is a legitimate ask for help to cover the debt we have with the State of California to cover unemployment benefits charged to us. In addition, this debt is in U.S. Dollars, and not Pesos.

Second: We have received approximately half of the necessary funds to cover the debt! Praise God!

Third: A very gracious donor has offered to match dollar-for-dollar, up to $2,500, to help cover the rest of the debt. We thank the Lord for her generosity.

We are need of financial help to cover EDD charges.

These are unemployment charges for someone who worked with us in 2024. This is by no means their fault. After leaving the company after us, they were afforded unemployment benefits, but due to the time worked at the other employer, we were secondary in covering these benefits paid.

As you can see in the letter, we owe $7,318.07 and counting. We currently have approximately 25% of these fees in "non-designated/general funds."

We have worked hard at getting this fee waived, but they have denied our request.
