We apologize for not sending out a Newsletter sooner. To say we have been busy is an understatement. Fortunately, the Lord has provided and continues to provide help, and therefore we have the hope that by the end of this year, we will be able to breathe a little better.

We had a wonderful holiday season and pray you did too. After a very busy Fall season, the busiest we've personal experienced, we spent most of the time resting in the Lord and prepping and planning for the future of 99plus1.

The two biggest and most exciting pieces of news for 2026 are the Under His Wings ministry, and a missionary couple who will be joining 99plus1 in the Fall, Lord willing.

The Mission House

We had two groups join us late Fall and early 2026.

We played host to The Well Church out of Yucaipa, CA visited us for the first time in November. It was a blessing to know them and see their servants heart for the Lord.

They spent time at Sonshine Hacienda, Nueva Cancion Men's Rehab Center.

Three Great Servants from Maine

In January, we had three people come to finish up some projects they started last Fall. One of 99plus1's long-standing groups, one who has help build 99plus1 Ministries, the local orphanage, among other things, is a team of churches from the Oxford, Maine and surrounding areas.

During their trip last Fall, the started the roof of a local elderly woman, and had a desire to do other projects, but fell short on time. So, three of them, Chester, Christian and his wife, Hanna, decided to raise the money to come on their own and work on these projects.

This was not only a special time for those being blessed by them, but also for the three who came.

Under His Wings is open!

On February 10th we received our first resident for Under His Wings. A young woman of 21 years old, who was not in the best home environment. She had heard of the ministry and reached out to Gina about staying with us.

This case could not have been any more perfect and was a huge affirmation of the need for this ministry.

Prior to arriving, she was a pale, frail individual. Since arriving, she has life back in her cheeks and a spring in her step. She is in her last semester of school where she is studying Gastronomy.

She has found a part-time job to support herself with needs and hopes to move to Ensenada at the end of Summer to begin her career.

Thank you all for your prayers and support. Gina and I are even more convinced that this is the will of the Lord for San Felipe.

There will be ongoing needs. If you’d like to give specifically to this ministry, select “Under His Wings” from the drop-down menu on the Giving page of the website.

Assistance is on its way!

Please keep Joshua and Rikki Reed in your prayers. This is a couple who felt called to the mission field and has decided to join us here at 99plus1.

They will be Directors of the ministry, overseeing the day-to-day operations, as well as participate in the planning and direction of the ministry.

Lord willing, they will be arriving in San Felipe in September.

Missions Teams

At 99 Plus 1 Ministries, we believe short-term mission trips are one way the Lord strengthens His Church and advances the Gospel.

A short-term mission trip involves believers sent to a specific region to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ. This ministry may take many forms — preaching and teaching God’s Word, evangelistic outreach, community engagement, discipleship opportunities, and practical service such as construction projects.

We serve as a receiving ministry for churches and Christian groups seeking to minister in San Felipe. Our desire is to support what God has placed on your heart and to help you serve effectively and faithfully.

San Felipe is a small town with many ministry opportunities. There are local churches we partner with in local ministry, but also are in need themselves. There is both spiritual and physical needs at the drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers. And there are many needs in the community.

This year is a slower year than the past few. We understand that the economy is may not be favorable, as well as understand that Mexico right now is not being portrayed as a very safe place to travel.

My family and I have not felt any less safe this year, than in years past. San Felipe is a sleepy little town, outside of many of the issues going on in the rest of Mexico.

Please, contact us to discuss.
