John & Bonnie Gilbert
John and Bonnie Gilbert were commissioned by the North Park Community AC Church located in San Diego, CA in December of 1995 to serve in the country of Mexico. Their first years were with Mexican Medical Ministry at their central offices located in San Diego area. In 1997 the Lord called them to accept a field assignment in San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico. The Gilbert’s continued to serve with Mexican Medical until the year 2000 when the Lord changed the focus of their ministry and led to the formation of 99 Plus 1 Ministries. Since the formation of 99 Plus 1 the Gilbert’s continue to aid pastors and ministries through providing resources of various types to aid in the capacitating of others with a heart to serve the Lord.
John retired from the military after 27 years of Naval Service as a corpsman. Bonnie worked in the banking and accounting area for most of working career prior to entering the mission field.
They were married in August of 1970 and have three adult children presently residing in the states Washington and Colorado and 8 grandchildren in the states and 3 that they claim as grandchildren in Mexico.
There greatest desire is to remain in the center of the Lord’s will…whatever that means.
Jer. 29:11 has been there verse of trust and confidence in the Lord’s leading for their lives.
