Northwest Hills Church-Corvalis, Oregon
Northwest Hills blessed us with a large group of 61 adults and youth serving in San Felipe in various capacities. They divided into 4 groups, working on VBS, Nueva Cancion, Sonshine Hacienda and The Nueva Vida Church. At the men’s rehab center, Nueva Cancion they added sleeping quarters and new bathroom areas, framing the walls and getting the sheathing on. This wonderful addition will double their living quarters and greatly increase their ability to take in more men needing to be delivered from addictions.
Over at the Orphanage, another great group put up sheet rock in the 2 apartments and the the office area of the second floor, and also worked on the exterior stucco.
At Nueva Vida Church the team placed forms and re-steel for the concrete roof that will be poured later this week.
The team also canvased one of the more unchurched areas of San Felipe, and invited the families to VBS in the park. They put together puppets, crafts, drama and lessons to help bring Christ to this area of San Felipe. It was a great time of the team connecting with the children during play and VBS. It was very successful in bringing in parents and kids to hear about the Lord. Once again God has truly blessed us with this amazing group of youth and adults with a willingness to serve and share Christ with others.
