¡Fiesta de Gracias!
Actually Thanksgiving Day translates better as the day of the action of giving thanks, but I’ve always liked the fiesta idea. I don’t know if it qualifies as a tradition but it sure is fun getting together with many of the people who are special to us down here in San Felipe. This year we had a total of 56 guests for the mid-afternoon meal. Praise the Lord, Bonnie had several willing hands to help with all the details that go into a meal of that magnitude. The food was the normal thanksgiving day feast items that were shared with our friends from Nueva Cancion Rehabilitation center, F.A.M.A. Rehabilitation center, our 99 Plus 1 staff and there extended families, and special guests from the Tecate Mission School who came down to do some ministering of their own. What a gift God has given us in the form of friends.
