What’s it all about!
During a trip with the Director of World Outreach for the Advent Christian General Conference, Rev. Tim Fox said that it is relationships that are important.
How true that is! One of our local Mexican pastors (and a long time friend), Pastor Idelfonso Garcia Luciano, recently suffered what appeared to be a heart attack at 43 years of age. His heart stopped twice before they could stabalize him sufficiently to transport him to the nearest major medical facility 2 hours away. The bill were mounting as the hospital conducted one study after another adding to the stress of the family and the situation. The result, the doctors could find no indication of a cardiac blockage or a cardiac related problem. Best medical guess is now a clot of some form that temporarily blocked the coronary arteries. He is back at home but is still seeing followup physicians to move forward for a cause. Or at least no repeat event. I tend to go with the divine healing theory.
But I’m writing about relationships, right! I put out a call to several churches that have a working relationship with Idelfonso and his family. The local churches came together both here in San Felipe and in Mexicali. The result. The over $2000 medical bill is completely covered and there is enough extra to cover all the follow-on medical visits and studies. and I know that there is some monies that have been sent but not yet arrived. One church asked to be notified if there was any deficit in resources.
Yes, it is all about relationships. Our relationships to each other regardless of national boundaries assigned by man. Our relationship to God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. How is your relationships doing?
